People need a community of relationships where they can be authentic, discover Truth, grow in maturity and be safely cared for as they walk through life. True community is more than a Bible study; it also includes prayer, fellowship, worship, fun, mission, and care. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)
Babe Hopkins is originally from the Atlanta, Georgia, area. She moved to Costa Rica in 2000 and has been intimately involved with BCC since the founding of the church in 2001 alongside her husband, Don. She has been serving BCC as Social Director for all the social events of the church and has participated in all of the community outreach programs in Costa Rica. She is a member of the worship team and facilitates women’s bible studies. She has been involved with the leadership for the annual women’s retreat helping to coordinate efforts among the churches within the country.
